Jan Dismas Zelenka was a Bohemian by birth who served at the Chapel of Dresden in J.S. Bach’s time. His Tenebrae Responsories are an intriguing mix of Baroque harmonies and Renaissance ideals. This little known composer is gaining in fame 250 years after his death.
